History
National Arabic Company was formed as a partnership company in the year 2001 by the Bukhamseen Group of Companies, one of Kuwait’s most renowned business groups.As part of their growth strategy and taking a cue from their experience and success in the hospitality industry, they wanted to venture into the casual dining arena and formed National Arabic Company (NAC).The main objective of NAC was to launch a reputed and profitable international casual dining restaurant into the Kuwait market.NAC formed an association with Ruby Tuesday International in the US and opened the first Ruby Tuesday restaurant in Kuwait in October 2003. In 2004 NAC joined up with Peppes Pizza from Norway in order to establish franchises in Kuwait and opened the first Peppes Pizza restaurant in Kuwait in 2005.
Investments
NAC owns and operates Five Ruby Tuesday restaurants in Kuwait and one in Avenues Mall with one more that opens in October 15, 2009.
Likewise, NAC has six Peppes Pizza Restaurants in operation in Kuwait. One Peppe’s soon to open in Egypt and Three more are under development. One peppe's opens in Kurdistan. . Peppes Pizza is the largest pizza restaurant chain in Scandinavia serving American-style and Italian-style pizzas in a casual and informal atmosphere.
NAC also has a large project under development on the Nile in Egypt where they expect to develop flagship stores for Ruby Tuesday and Peppes Pizza in this city. This project will include and host other well known branded restaurants as well. NAC has signed a development contract to build another flagship Peppes Pizza store in Maryland in Heliopolis.
NAC will continue focusing their energy to develop both Ruby Tuesday and Peppes Pizza in both Kuwait and Egypt. They will provide business support, training and management to other franchisees in other areas across the Middle East, Europe and South East Asia.
